Originally a Ph.D. in materials science, I entered the field of AI in 2019. I initially focused on image processing, but later specialized in natural language processing when I joined Wikit, shortly before the emergence of large language models.
I enjoy working at the intersection of research and engineering, alternating between two complementary approaches: an exploratory approach, to evaluate new concepts and technologies; and an applied approach, focused on integrating them and solving real-world problems.
From the initial proof of concept to scaling up, I pay particular attention to the technical quality of solutions—including maintainability, latency, and robustness—as well as their environmental impact, particularly in terms of energy consumption and computational resources.
