Introducing Microsoft Entra ID
Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) is a Microsoft cloud service dedicated to identity and access management. It complements a local Active Directory, with advantages in terms of ease of deployment, reduced costs and enhanced security.
With Entra ID Connect, you can synchronize your local directories with Entra ID, facilitating user management and authentication. An administrator can supervise all connections, including those from unknown IP addresses or locations. Users benefit from unified access to Microsoft 365, Azure, and over 2,600 third-party applications compatible with single sign-on (SSO).
Entra ID centralizes all employee login information securely and integrated with the Microsoft 365 environment. It also offers advanced security features, including IS access and connection tracking.
Wikit Semantics interfaced with Microsoft Entra ID
The Wikit chatbot is now connected to Microsoft Entra ID, enabling the conversational agent to extract and display information from the directory:
