Portrait: Yvan, Business Manager chez Wikit

Today, meet Yvan Levacher, Business Manager at Wikit, who shares with us his background, his role and his vision of generative AI.

Can you introduce yourself and tell us about your career?

Je m’appelle Yvan, j’ai 30 ans, je suis passionné de ballon rond et je suis Business Manager chez Wikit. J’ai rejoint l’entreprise il y a maintenant 5 ans en tant que tout premier Business Developer/Ingénieur d’affaires.

After graduating from Polytech Lyon with an engineering degree in Applied Mathematics and Modeling, I was recruited on a permanent contract by Keyrus, an ESN based in Lyon, where I spent a year working for Banque Populaire Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes as a BI Consultant.

After a year that allowed me to discover the world of ESN and where I was asking myself a few questions about the direction of my professional career, I decided to take another sandwich course to become a Business Engineer at Euridis. I'd always had a strong interest in the world of data, but I wanted a job with more interpersonal skills! And so, after meeting Alban Costa and Christophe Bouvard, I joined Wikit for my work-study program.

When I joined the team, there were 6 of us and we were supporting 5 customers, mainly from the French Departments. The objective was clear: expand the customer portfolio !

I now manage a business team of 3 people and my weeks are filled with exchanges to sign new customers.

How long have you been working at Wikit and what are your main day-to-day responsibilities?

Je travaille chez Wikit depuis maintenant 5 ans et mes principales missions sont le management de l’équipe Business et la formation des alternants business developer, la prise et la gestion de rendez-vous de démonstration de notre solution Wikit Semantics, le suivi des prospects, la relation avec les partenaires et le closing d’affaires.

A little bonus: I organize various sporting events such as the Run In Lyon, or padel tournaments between colleagues!

How would you describe your role in the Wikit solution?

Mon rôle vis-à-vis de la solution Wikit est double. Mon premier rôle est bien évidement de présenter et d’expliquer le fonctionnement et les bénéfices de la solution à nos prospects. Je dois maitriser parfaitement la solution et ses fonctionnalités pour la présenter et l’expliquer au mieux à nos prospects. Mon autre rôle consiste à centraliser les demandes et les besoins de nos futurs clients et à les remonter à l’équipe produit afin de réfléchir aux évolutions les plus utiles et stratégiques pour la solution Wikit Semantics.

What do you like best about Wikit?

The career development opportunities associated with my position and the freedom/trust I have over the work I do on a daily basis. I have 100% freedom in terms of positioning and proposals sent to potential future customers.

The team spirit is also very strong, with a healthy and motivating work environment.

How do you see generative AI and chatbots evolving over the next few years, and where does Wikit fit in?

The evolution of AI-enabled chatbot technology will focus mainly on the multimodal aspect. In addition to text-based interactions, chatbots will be able to process voice, visual and even contextual inputs, making interactions more natural and intuitive. With this evolution, it will be all the more relevant to make chatbots cohabit with the use of RPA. It's a technological pairing I talk to our product manager about on a regular basis! What's more, chatbots will increasingly be used for specific use cases, as we've been doing since our creation with chatbots for IT support, HR support or even GRU. I'm also thinking of companies in the healthcare, finance and education sectors, which need chatbots adapted to their industries.

If you had to describe the atmosphere at Wikit in three words, which would you choose?

Human, collaborative and dynamic!

Can you reveal something about yourself that's not in your CV?

I took a month-long trip with EF Education to Malta after my A-levels to perfect my English... but I'm not putting it on my CV because it wasn't the English I worked on most during that trip!

If you could have one superpower for a day, which would you choose and why?

Teleportation, so you can travel to lots of different places very quickly.
